When I first opened there was a lot of nights when there would just be Danny, Mike MacDonald and Jim Jones and me listening to my fabulous juke box and drinking beer till dawn.

Great late night days and that great juke box. I used to play The Virtues over and over, waiting for the guitar solo. We'd come in after our gigs, adrenaline flowing. Gar's Bar presented the perfect unwind. A cool hang, late night workers in the know would show as different clubs let out all over downtown. Gar's Bar was the first time I ever tasted Calamari. I believe the man himself made it on the spot! The place became successful and others copied but none presented the warmth and friendly hospitality of the original. That's because of Gary, the man who made the place. Special.
I think you mean 'The Ventures'
Nope Gary, The Virtues, Guitar Boogie Shuffle.
I'd be happy to make a wager, but I bet you've Googled to find out. You make the kalamari, I'll make the music!
